Belsize Opera premieres a new epistolary chamber opera by Louis Mander
Set in a Belgian trench during the Great War, two British soldiers tell their story of love, loss and conflict on the front line.
Mander's lyrical score evokes all of the painful reality and bittersweet comradery of two young men in 1917. As a commemorative production marking 100 years since the Great War, Jack Cherry's production captures the stark truth of trench warfare.
